ABOUT

“One of SA’s most compelling voices.” — Mail & Guardian

“A subtle form of intensity.” — MOJO

“Charged with timeless beauty.” — Folk Radio UK

Wren Hinds is a singer-songwriter, musician, and producer whose evocative work weaves together indie-folk, alternative, and cinematic textures with deeply resonant storytelling. From his roots on South Africa’s east coast, he has quietly emerged as one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most compelling voices. His latest album, ‘Don’t Die in the Bundu’, released via Bella Union (home to artists like Fleet Foxes, Beach House, and Father John Misty), was met with international acclaim- praised by MOJO Magazine as “a subtle form of intensity,” and described by Record Collector as “a gently beguiling set of sweet, soft hymns to hope in choppy times.”

Live, Wren’s performances are carefully shaped experiences. Deeply intentional, immersive, and emotionally charged, each show unfolds with a quiet power that leaves audiences moved, grounded, and inspired.

For this special winter gathering, Wren is joined by his all-star band, a stellar lineup of South Africa’s top-tier musicians: Wren Hinds (vocals & guitar), Jonno Sweetman (drums), Maurice Paliaga (bass), and Dylan Fine (electric guitar). Together, they elevate the music into expansive, textured territory, bringing Wren’s compositions to life in lush, dynamic, and transportive ways. The band has sold out every show on their national tours, building a reputation for performances that are as musically exceptional as they are deeply felt.

Set within the raw beauty of the Cape Peninsula in winter, this is more than a live show, it’s an invitation to gather, to listen, and to experience something rare.

Minestrone Soup and Dahl will be available to purchase along with buttered bread, tea, coffee and other beverages.
